The Forgotten Master of Success Philosophy

Ralph Waldo Trine was an American New Thought writer whose 1897 masterpiece “In Tune with the Infinite” became the foundation for all modern success philosophy.

His revolutionary ideas about the power of thought, universal harmony, and personal success influenced generations of business leaders, philosophers, and success writers, yet his name has largely faded from public memory while his students became household names.

Early Life

Born in Mount Morris, Illinois in 1866, Trine showed early interest in philosophy and the nature of human potential. He attended Knox College and later studied at Johns Hopkins University, where he developed the foundational ideas that would shape his life’s work.
